This page will be updated to reflect the current status of different aspects of the Podcasting (Lecture Capture) service, as well as any service announcements or upcoming changes.

Current Issues

401 error when logging in to Video Portal

Some users are experiencing a 401 error when trying to access the Video Portal, which is related to problems with the authentication service. If you experience this issue, please try an alternative browser on your device, or follow the steps below:
1. Visit https://login.manchester.ac.uk/ – if it shows you are signed in, sign out.
2. Visit the Video Portal.
3. Click the ‘View site information’ button in the browser address bar (usually to the left of the address bar), then click on Cookies and site data.

4. On the next page click ‘manage on-site device data’ and click the ‘bin’ icon next to all Manchester sites shown.
5. Close and reopen your browser window.
6. Visit the Video Portal lectures page: https://video.manchester.ac.uk/lectures and it should take you to the login page. 
7. After logging in, you should now be able to access the Video Portal correctly.
